Noxilizer first commercialized its proprietary nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) based sterilization in 2012. This technology provides a safe, efficient, and scalable alternative to traditional sterilization methods, with several key advantages: ultra-low temperature (10–30°C), minimal pressure requirements, no/minimal cytotoxic residuals, and fast cycle times (6‒12 hours). This helps manufacturers protect product integrity while improving supply chain efficiency. NO₂ sterilization opens new avenues for innovation and has been shown to be particularly effective in the sterilization of prefilled syringes, drug-device combination products, and medical devices.
